The local-born defender didn't make a first-team appearance for Wanderers this season, however five months were spent on loan at Derby County. After initially making a temporary one-month switch the Rams at the start of January, Hunt had the deal extended until the end of the campaign. He made over 20 appearances for Nigel Clough's side, helping them achieve a mid-table finish in English football's second-tier.
Having progressed through the youth ranks at Wanderers, Hunt has made over 100 appearances for his hometown club, and has also represented England at under 21 level.
