OWEN COYLE was left feeling frustrated after Kevin Davies had a perfectly good goal ruled out by referee Mark Clattenburg.

After an even first-half, Wanderers dominated proceedings in the second period but couldn't find a way past Mark Schwarzer.

However, all that changed in the dying stages when skipper Davies rose above the Cottagers' back-line to plant a header beyond the Australian 'keeper.

Clattenburg, though, ruled out the strike after seeing a push, which provoked the ire of the home crowd and Wanderers officials.

"It's fair to say that we didn't get what we deserved from the game," reflected Coyle.

"I thought the first-half was quite even without being very pleasing on the eye, although we had a couple of chances and hit the bar.

"But I felt that we really raised the pace of the game in the second-half which resulted in numerous opportunities and probably could and should have scored. Johan and Chung-Yong both had good chances."
