Wanderers can confirm that Chris Stokes has joined Crewe Alexandra on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old defender will link-up with his new team-mates in time for the Railwaymen's League Two clash with Torquay United on Saturday afternoon.

Stokes, who captained the Academy side in their quest to the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals last season, has made 13 appearances for Wanderers' Reserves throughout the course of the 2009/10 campaign.
