After signing on July 12, 2009, from West Bromwich Albion,, the tough-tackling full-back started out as the first-choice on the left side of defence before losing his place in the starting line-up to Jlloyd Samuel.
The 30-year-old was recalled at the end of October and hasn't looked back since, accumulating 25 appearances in his first season with the Trotters.
Since making his Football League debut in 1996, Robinson went on to accumulate 490 first-class appearances with both Watford and West Bromwich Albion.
In 2008 he was recognised for his consistent displays in the Baggies' successful league winning season by earning a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
